Meet Diana, CEO, La Vida Eyewear:
Diana Canto-Sims is an Eyeball doctor, a wife, mother, owner of four businesses, and designer of "La Vida Eyewear, eyeglasses for the diverse and Bold" Diana founded Buena Vista Optical, an award-winning eye clinic in Chicago Lawn, as a labor of love on February 14, 2005.
She is passionate about giving back to her Latino community and nurturing partnerships that help elevate women in their careers and businesses.
She founded La Vida Eyewear in 2017 after identifying a problem at her clinic. Her patients who are predominately Latinas, often times, did not fit in the current eyewear styles because the designs were not created for them. After pushback from frame manufacturers, Diana took matters into her own hands by designing La Vida Eyewear.
La Vida Eyewear is designed by a Latina for Latinas to compliment their gorgeous skin tones and features.
She is a recipient of the 2017 Corporate Woman of Achievement Award and a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Initiative. Her clinic won the 2016 Prevent Blindness in America Practice of the Year Award.
Diana is relentlessly committed to educating her patients and innovating eyewear products for her community.
